Chief Executive of NHS County Durham and Darlington

Since qualifying as a midwife, Yasmin has worked in the NHS for 28 years and has held various clinical and executive level posts in primary care, mental health trusts and at strategic health authority level. 

Yasmin has held Chief Executive posts in both NHS Trusts and primary care organisations since 2000.

She commenced her post as Chief Executive at County Durham Primary Care Trust in 2006 following the merger of five former PCTs; in 2009 she became the Joint Chief Executive of NHS County Durham and Darlington.
